Poor Hello Kitty

My lovely mouthless but still apple-pie-loving friend has hit the news. Devastatingly Handsome woke me up with the news that it has been reported that Hello Kitty is not a cat at all. 

Talk about shocking news. A real crisis to test your worldview. I turned to the computer to see if it could be true and found that like most news, there are several sides to the story. The latest information according to Sanrio says that she is actually "a personification of a cat." Not sure what that means, it sounds a bit like she is a dream, as if she appears in the thought bubble above a cat's head. Or maybe a little girl's. I think I can live with that.

The Kitty Peacemaker

Good news! It appears Ken Sande will be coming out with a new version of The Peacemaker aimed at cartoon characters.

They have run a test training with the folks at the Hello Kitty place (Sanrio) and Miffy in the Netherlands and it has been successful, as the bunnies worked out their issues to the benefit of the tsunami victims in Japan.

I am proud of the bunnies involved, but not surprised at all. I have always known Kitty White is the Ambassador of Peace and Goodwill. That whole thing with her having no mouth just makes her the ideal peacemaker. At least at our place. 

Prayer Reminders

I am just a bit on the visual end, so I like to make myself little things I will notice. And I wanted to remember to pray for Japan. So, last night I put away the St Patrick's day decorations, and today I found everything Japanesish I could think of and set it up.

I also got out my favorite Hello Kitties for by the kitchen sink.
